Saturday Acoustic: Live Music Acts At Korova..starting from now!!

JAMIE BREWER Preston's own popular virtuoso guitar player, one of those talented guys who can mind blow you with a single acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, bass lines and melodies simultaneously, will be the first main act to hit Korova's new Saturday Acoustic music nights.

Having built up a following and the respect of Preston music circles with his top playing and satisfying soothing sounds Korova Arts Cafe & Bar is proud to announce that he will be headlining a music night of acoustic acts this Saturday September 28th at 10pm (support acts after 8.30pm tba).

Self penned, massively varied and creative, Jamie can hold an audience on his own and his music fits nicely into the whole idea of Korova - which is an up and coming intimate cafe venue with an upstairs stage area, art on the walls, comedians, poets, storytellers, themed nights and a small theatre all in one place.

Korova aims to nurture innovative and original creativity be it drama or music for a growing community of people in Preston who enjoy and respect the arts.  And we serve beer and tea - so you can let it loose in your own way. See you there.

“No multitracking, everything you hear from Jamie Brewer was done using his hands and one guitar” – Unsigned Preston.

“If a man can talk through his voice, then he can resonate in the same way through his guitar, and Jamie Brewer has done just that” – Itsoundedsweet.

"Melodic, breath-taking guitar work" - Galtres Festival

"After unknowingly setting up, like a musical ninja, first act Jamie Brewer stunned the ever growing crowd and sent the entire building into silence with his flawless instrumental style, Brewer used every inch of his guitar to create a mind-blowing sound." - Ark Magazine Preston.

The music will start at 9pm /9.15pm with bluesey, guts and passion, guitarist and original songwriter Brett Hamer from Blackburn.  Brett plays pacey acoustic rock Americana style with a Lancashire twist. Former lead singer with popular Blackburn acoustic rock outfit Man Called Horse, he's been out there playing solo, building up a reputation as a solid performer and writer - and best of all he has a soft spot for playing in Preston. For Brett, it's definitely a second home.

And at 10pm Stuart Swarbrick top Preston guitarist will play much to the delight of regulars on the music scene who know him for reliably crafting a high standard of playing. Stuart doesn't have to be afraid of tackling a Richard Thompson cover, he can make it his own.

We wish them both a good gig at Preston's newest night!

Stuart Swarbrick.

“They were incredible to work with and really down to earth." (quote from the Lancashire Telegraph, 13/09/2013).
