Saturday Acoustic at Korova: Natasha Lea Jones plus guests. Sat Oct 19th

Korova Arts Cafe & Bar are delighted to have accomplished singer-songwriter and one half of the  successful duo Pooka, Natasha Lea Jones, playing the next Saturday Acoustic on October the 19th.

Having previous released EPs and albums with Rough Trade, Island Records and WEA, made numerous international radio and TV appearances and been on numerous tours of Europe and the USA with the likes of the Levellers and P.J.Harvey, Natasha will be playing tracks from her newly released solo album Soar.

It'll be her second solo album, which Chloe Glover of the Lancashire Telegraph, desribes as:  "powerful yet delicately written." It features features Rainbow singer Graham Bonnet and Rob Ellis, a producer and string arranger for Massive Attack, Iron Maiden and Depeche Mode among others.

Natasha explained : “It’s been a lot of work which consisted of writing lots of songs and choosing a selection from them but really worth the effort.

“It’s always been a lifelong ambition of mine to create a record that brings all of the people I admire musically together and now that I’ve done it I feel a big sense of completion.

“They were incredible to work with and really down to earth." (quote from the Lancashire Telegraph, 13/09/2013).

  • "Natasha has got an awsome voice, captivating, melodic, She sings like an angel!" Rob Ellis (of P.J. Harvey)
  • "She's real, and that's cool!".......... Liam Gallagher (Oasis)
  •  "Melodies so sweet, your teeth are at risk!" Q Magazine
