Preview: Seamus McLoughlin, Bad Cardigan and Baxter Rhodes

The next Saturday Acoustic at Korova Arts Cafe & Bar, 15-16 St Wilfrid Street, Preston, Lancashire UK is at 8.30pm on Saturday November the 9th, featuring singer-songwriter Seamus McLoughlin, Blackburn duo Bad Cardigan and songwriter Baxter Rhodes.

PRESTON's own Seamus McLoughlin has earned the respect of the town's musicians and music fans alike for his high quality live performances and is certain to add some colour and passion into the next Saturday Acoustic night at Korova on November the 9th. 

A successful touring singer and songwriter, Seamus has played major venues from Shepherd's Bush Empire in London to the Rockwood Music Hall in New York and festivals world wide, opening for and playing with bands such as The Alarm, The Wonder Stuff, Ocean Colour Scene, Karima Francis, Rae Morris, Starsailor, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones and many more.

He has also performed many times at the southwest festival in Austin, Texas, and at the CMJ conference in New York and toured the USA extensively. Playing from Los Angeles to NYC from Chicago to Kentucky. 


With a strong vocal delivery, an effective, tight guitar playing style and a quietly charismatic presence, Seamus is sure to provide a good set for regulars and welcome newcomers at Preston's latest arts cafe/bar and music venue, Korova. 


His debut album "Waiting For Tomorrow" is available on itunes. This was proceeded by the  Latitdue E.P. featuring the track "I could be your lover" which won the exposure music award for best song.

Bad Cardigan



Bad Cardigan are a fresh, young act from Lancashire, an acoustic duo, already gaining a solid reputation for great harmonies, tight arrangements and strong melodies with impact, playing gigs in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool.

Formed in September 2011, Jack Anwyl and Tom Randall, have already earned deserved support slots with the Levellers at venues around the country, and Korova is delighted to be part of a growing momentum of interest in their blossoming sound for our Saturday Acoustic.

Baxter Rhodes



At last Korova have booked Baxter Rhodes!

Having heard so much about Baxter Rhodes, Korova is delighted to announce that this popular Lancashire songwriter will be playing a live set at the cafe arts bar in Preston on Saturday November the 9th.

Based in Colne, Baxter provides a driving rhythmic mix of folk, country and roots with an edge of soul and blues, through his original material. He has played festivals, top notch support slots, run bustling music nights and deservedly won over many music admirers in the region with his unique and effective style. We can't wait to catch his sounds.
